Can I Get Invoice Finance With a CCJ? Yes, Go-Factor Can Help

Invoice finance with a CCJ · Go-Factor Business Finance

Yes. A County Court Judgment (CCJ) does not automatically stop your business getting invoice finance.

Go-Factor is an independent UK invoice finance broker that helps businesses with CCJs access funding against eligible unpaid B2B invoices. Specialist funders consider the circumstances of the judgment, your customers’ ability to pay and the quality of your invoices. Both paid and outstanding CCJs can be considered, depending on the provider.

Wages, suppliers and fuel still need paying while your customers take 30, 60 or 90 days. Let’s find out how much cash your invoices could release.

A CCJ does not automatically close the door to invoice finance. Your customers, invoices and circumstances all matter.

Why Can Invoice Finance Be Available With a CCJ?

Invoice finance releases cash against eligible unpaid business-to-business invoices. Because your customers’ payments repay the advance, their ability to pay is an important part of the funding decision.

Your own credit history still matters, but a CCJ is only part of the assessment. A business with reliable customers, clear evidence of completed work and a credible explanation may have options even after a bank has declined a loan.

What Will a Funder Want to Know?

  • The CCJ: its amount, age, circumstances and whether it has been paid.
  • Who it concerns: your current business, you personally or a previous company.
  • Your customers: who owes you money, their creditworthiness and payment history.
  • Your invoices: completed work, supporting paperwork and any disputes.
  • Your position now: current debts, trading performance and how you will manage cash flow.

Be open about the background. Go-Factor helps present it clearly so a suitable funder can assess the business properly.

One Funder’s “No” Does Not Mean the Whole Market Says No

A direct funder can offer only its own products within its own criteria. Go-Factor knows the wider invoice finance market and which specialist providers will consider adverse credit.

That knowledge matters when your circumstances need explaining. We identify suitable providers, negotiate terms and support you through to funding.

Tell Us the Story

Share the CCJ details, your customer list and what funding would help you achieve.

Can a New Business Get Invoice Finance With a CCJ?

Yes. A new business can be considered for invoice finance even where the company or a director has a CCJ. Some providers can assess a business without years of filed accounts, using its customers, invoices and management experience. Funding still requires eligible invoices and approval.

A previous company failure is not automatically a barrier either. Explain why it failed, any losses to creditors and what has changed. Go-Factor helps new-start businesses find suitable funding routes.

What Information Do I Need to Apply?

To help Go-Factor assess your options quickly, have these details ready where available:

  • The CCJ amount, date, who it is against and whether it has been paid.
  • A list of customers who owe you money, with amounts and invoice dates.
  • Example invoices and evidence that the work or delivery is complete.
  • Recent business bank statements and accounts, or forecasts for a new start.

Do not delay speaking to us if you are missing something. We will explain what the relevant funder needs.

No Additional Broker Fee

Go-Factor is remunerated by the funder upon successful funding. We do not charge you an additional broker fee for arranging your invoice finance.

You receive our market knowledge, negotiation and support without a separate broker bill. The funder’s agreed facility charges still apply.

Invoice Finance With a CCJ: Your Questions Answered

Can I get invoice finance with an unpaid CCJ?

Yes, some specialist funders will consider an unpaid CCJ. Others require settlement before funding. The amount, circumstances and overall business position affect the decision. Go-Factor checks which providers can consider your situation before making an approach.

Can my company get invoice finance if I have a personal CCJ?

Yes. A director’s personal CCJ may be considered alongside the company’s position, but it does not automatically rule out invoice finance. Tell us who the judgment relates to so we can approach suitable providers.

How long does a CCJ stay on the register?

A CCJ normally remains on the register for six years. If paid in full within one month, you can ask the court to remove it with proof of payment. If paid later, it can be marked “satisfied” but normally remains for six years. Read the official GOV.UK guidance on CCJs and credit records.

Don’t Flood the Market With Applications

Start with one conversation with Go-Factor. We coordinate a targeted approach to suitable funders, helping avoid duplicate enquiries, unnecessary credit searches and repeatedly explaining your situation.
